I’m not religious, but I love the idea of getting together once a week to think about the big questions in life. And for me, art is my absolute favorite way to get at those big questions.
So this year we’re launching something we’re calling SUNDAY SERVICE.
Every second Sunday of the month from 11am-12pm folks can drop by and listen to someone (probably me!) read a story/poems/piece by one of the 79 Artist Residents we’ve hosted over the past 9 seasons.
So swing by! Bring a blanket and hang out in the sunshine, listen and dawdle. Add a little bit of art to your weekend in the Catskills. (Maybe even stop at West Kill Brewing right next door for lunch and a tipple right after, they open at noon!)
And bring a book home with you from our library when we’re all done! No really, we totally don’t mind if you can’t return it for a month or a year or maybe even ever…! We’re all about spreading the gospel of a good read.
See you there?
P.S. Yes, kiddos and dogs on leash are welcome to join! We’ll include a picture book in our reading right when we start, though we can’t promise a G-rating for the adult stories.
P.P.S. We’ve got a last minute room for you this Friday and/or just Saturday!
